When teeth are missing or need to be removed they can be replaced with dental implants. Dental implants are small, titanium rods that are placed into the bone and then allowed to become part of the bone. We then use these implants to build a supra-structure, a crown or a bridge depending on the number of teeth to replace.
It is considered that dental implants are the closest in feeling to natural teeth. Our implant surgeon, Sebastian Engelhardt, will examine you and assess your suitably for dental implant placement. He will look at the bone quality and quantity and choose the right implant to suit you.
Sebastian uses implants made by Straumann as well as by Thommen Medical. Both these Swiss implants are proven by the scientific literature to function in your mouth for a very long time, if handled and maintained correctly. Both these systems use exemplary craftsmenship to build some of the best implant systems in the world.
Missing single tooth or multiple teeth can often be replaced with a fixed dental implant with an overlying crown or bridge that gives back the appearance of natural fixed teeth.
If your dentist proposes you to get an implant, but does not provide in-house treatment, we are happy to accept referrals, please see our referral pages.
